ReDS™ System
Remote Dielectric Sensing
Our Solution
The ReDS System provides accurate pulmonary congestion assessment needed for advanced monitoring and management of heart failure patients. Healthcare providers use the system to make decisions, change patient medications, and suggest treatment programs that are right for their patients. ReDS based heart failure management leads to improvement in patient outcomes, specifically to reduction in hospital readmissions. The system is utilized in various points across the continuum of care such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, post-acute care facilities, and at home.
How it works?
The ReDS™ System utilizes advanced radio frequency (RF) technology to provide accurate, absolute and actionable congestion level assessment. It is a noninvasive and wearable system providing the percentage of fluid in the lung within 45 seconds. It operates by emitting low-power electromagnetic waves, which penetrate the lung tissue and measure its dielectric properties. Since fluid in the lungs has different dielectric properties than air-filled lung tissue, the ReDS system can assess the lung fluid content accurately. This information helps healthcare providers to assess the status of pulmonary congestion accurately, detect fluid buildup early, manage fluid levels, and adjust treatments to prevent hospitalizations.
